Privacy Policy

Short version: All your job application data stays on your own device. We have no servers storing your personal data. We never sell or share your information with anyone.

What data we store

JobTrackr Pro stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to use AI features:

Job application details you enter (company, role, status, dates, notes)
Your preferences (name, nationality, salary range, job type)
Visa and work pass information you enter
Your license key (if you purchase Pro)

What data we send externally

We only contact external services in these specific situations:

Service	When	What is sent
Supabase License verification	When you activate or verify a license key	Your license key only. Used to confirm your purchase is valid.
Stripe Payments	When you purchase a Pro plan	Email address and payment details. Stripe's privacy policy applies: stripe.com/privacy
Job listing websites Auto-detect	When you visit LinkedIn, Indeed, JobStreet, etc.	Nothing is sent. The extension reads data already visible on the page, locally.

What we do NOT collect

We have no analytics, tracking, or usage data
We do not collect your name, email, or any personal details unless you purchase Pro
We do not use cookies
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties
We have no access to the data stored on your device

Chrome permissions explained

Permission	Why we need it
`storage`	Save your application data locally in your browser
`activeTab`	Read job listing details from the page you're currently viewing
`scripting`	Run a script to extract job data from job listing pages
`tabs`	Open the full app view and email links in new tabs

How to delete your data

You can delete all your data at any time:

Go to chrome://extensions
Click Details on JobTrackr Pro
Click Clear data

Or simply uninstall the extension — this removes all locally stored data permanently.

Data security

All your data is stored using Chrome's built-in secure storage system. Your license key is stored locally and only transmitted to our license server (Supabase) during verification. We use HTTPS for all external requests.

Children's privacy

JobTrackr Pro is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
